Info: Japan's attainment of her level of economic prosperity is deeply gratifying to those industrial leaders who, faced with the aftermath of World War II, were charged with the task of recovery.
This period has also seen CASIO grow tremendously. Since CASIO was founded in June 1957, as one of the only manufacturers in Japan concentrating entirely on the calculator field,
it has continued to leave its character impressed on the industry. A fully electrical calculator, incorporating calculating relays which CASIO made public at the time of its incorporation,
was a totally new invention based on a unique set of principles. It thus attracted great interest and customer popularity both as a discrete unit and in combination with a typewriter.
In 1965, with the dawn of the age of electronics, CASIO scored an international first with the introduction of the Type 001 electronic desk calculator with a memory capability.
The pace of scientific and technological advance was nowhere more evident than in the field of desk calculators, relays replaced transistors, which changed to integrated circuits within only a few years,
and have advanced to large scale integration.
The productive capacity of the Tokyo and Kofu plants, outfitted with modern tools and equipment, often of unique Casio design, allowed to turn reliable products which were popular both in Japan and abroad,
with the result that CASIO's sales were equally divided between the domestic and export markets. In 1972 CASIO developed the most powerful sales network in Japan.
It comprised 28 sales offices nationwide which supported network of dealers
Foreign markets were approached through distributors, while the establishment CASIO Europe, a German Sales Office, and a Service Center in Europe,
and a sales company, incorporated in New York for the North American. To further improve service, technicians were stationed in a number of cities in Europe and the United States.
CASIO produced the CJP (CASIO Jet Printing) process, one of the first fully electronic method of printing, a technology which utilizes electronically controlled jets of ink to form figures, letters and other characters and symbols.
CASIO also introduced the TYPUTER, one of the first electronic typewriters. It was silent and three to five times faster than conventional mechanical typewriters.

apr-1946: KASHIO SEISAKUJO (Kashio Manufacturers) was established at No. 116, Shimorenjaku, Mitaka-Shi, Tokyo.
oct-1954: The CASIO: CS14A Relay-Type calculator was completed.
jun-1957: CASIO Computer Co., Ltd. was founded at No. 331, Nishikubo 3-chome, Musashino-Shi, Tokyo. The Company embarked upon the nation-wide sale of the relay-type calculator, with Kabushiki Kaisha Uchida Yoko (Uchida Co., Ltd.) being appointed as sole agent.
apr-1960: The Company's Yamato Factory was completed at Yamatomachi, Kitatama-gun, Tokyo.
mar-1962: The Company's Manufacturing Department in its entirety was moved into the Yamato Factory.
apr-1962: The Company's Tokyo Business Office was opened to business.
aug-1962: The Company announced its completion of the CABICON series of integrated data processing system machines.
sep-1962: The Company's Osaka Business Office was opened to business.
jun-1965: The contract for appointing Uchida Yoko as sole agent was cancelled. For the purpose of consolidating the sales set-up, the Company's business structure was reorganized.
sep-1965: The CASIO: 001 electronic desk-top calculator was put on sale.
jul-1966: Electronic desk-top calculators were first exported to foreign markets.
dec-1966: The Company announced its completion of the Casio (Sigma) Series of electronic tabulating calculators.
mar-1967: The Company's former European Office was established in Switzerland.
oct-1969: The Company's Kofu Factory was completed. The Company announced its completion of the CJP (Casio Jet Printing) process.
jun-1970: CASIO, Inc. was established in the U.S.A.
sep-1970: The Company's shares were listed on the Tokyo Securities Exchange (2nd Division).
mar-1972: The Company's new European Office was established in West Germany.
aug-1972: The Company's shares listed on the Tokyo Securities Exchange (1st Division).
oct-1972: CASIO COMPUTER Co., GmbH. Deutschland was established in West Germany.
